Whakapapa: written after the Self spoke: ‘It almost staggers the imagination that your integrity is cut down to their size’ (16/1/13). The experience of being misunderstood, judged and rejected is common to all who walk the Way of Integrity. At a number of crucial junctures in my life I have been faced with the choice of either following my individuated conscience & entering a new phase, or conforming to the expectations of others & staying with the old. None of these junctures have been easy, some have been agonising. Trusting ‘True Natures Flame’ (the higher Self) lies at the heart of the individuation process. “Our ‘true nature’ is the mode in which divine Being is present and striving to manifest itself in each one of us. We attain personhood to the extent that we integrate with that true nature, and so become capable of witnessing freely and consciously to the Absolute in this life. We can experience Being in ourselves only by experiencing our own true nature, and we can find our true nature only in the experience of Being, which shakes and dissolves our ego-centered, worldly existence.” 1)
