Kia ora friends, this morning I gave them the go-ahead for Copy Press in Nelson to print the first 200 copies of our new book ‘Water Protectors: The Story of the Campaign to Save Te Waikoropupū Springs in poetry and Images.’ This is the second book of poetry I have published. It feels so different from the first! It’s different because it’s not only my story, it’s our story. It’s the story of ‘us,’ the water protectors who have come together to protect Te Waikoropupū.
The 92-page book will be on sale by the end of the September. We are organising a give-a- little campaign with books as rewards. We will also sell books on this website and via firstname.lastname@example.org. Profits from book sales will support the Save Our Springs hikoi in the North Island over Oct, Nov, and Dec. The hikoi will tell the story of Te Waikoropupu and gather support for a national petition on Nitrate N. The petition will ask the government to legislate to reduce the amount of nitrate fertiliser used in New Zealand.
Further information on the book will follow in the near future.
