Aroha
‘Oh, I don’t think that anyone that doesn’t love has anything’
It’s true; we have nothing
Without the active, supportive, hopeful, energy
Which always seeks the best
For those we love
& invites us, to walk beside
& not ahead
& has no agenda
Except the highest good of the other
(Which is always inexplicable
& changing & beyond our grasp)
As we are led, step by stumbling step
Into a purposeful letting go
& a new beginning
& a stepping beyond the rusty container
That has held us thus far
Only to discover, stormy waters
Unexpected… beneath our feet…
Calling us, step by tentative step
Towards the mysterious figure
Moving, decisively
Towards us
~
‘Oh, I don’t think that anyone that doesn’t love has anything’
(Saying)
As we awaken, we move beyond the egohood (the rusty container)
& begin to love in new ways
Learning to love can (‘unexpectedly’) lead to stormy waters
Stormy waters can lead to mysterious encounters
With the deeper life within us
