 Whakapapa: with Christmas approaching I wanted to write a poem that would encourage people to reflect on the Divine Birth: the birth of the Inner Sun. The poem begins with a line created from a dream image. I woke from a dream (22/12/12) in which I was struggling with something. I cannot remember the dream or what I was struggling with, but I do remember the final image of the dream. Liquid gold was being poured forth. During the day I returned again & again in creative imagination to the image of liquid gold. This poured gold is ‘the birth in gold’ with which the poem begins. The poem is written from the perspective of the Self, the Inner Gold, the Christmas Sun. The saying ‘You will never be the same again’ comes from the Self’ (20/12/12).
