Song 14

It’s
High Noon
As
She
Lights
Her
Cigar

Stands
Tall

In
The
Asana
Of
Her
Integrity

Our
Senorita
Wears a red dress

The
Bandalero
Cheer

As
The
Smoke
Clears

She
Stands
Alone

The
Undertaker
Grins

When the yoga of honesty
Comes
To
Town

The good folk

Leave

26/5/12

There’s something ruthless about honesty. Honesty kills. Then again so does dishonesty. But at least honesty can offer the hope of a new beginning: the hope of change. The poem was always ‘South of the boarder down Mexico way’. The only thing that changed was that Clint Eastwood grew breasts & wore a red dress. Apart from that it is pretty much as it first came to me. An ‘Asana’ is a body posture; part of the practice of Hatha Yoga. ‘Bandalero’ are bandits.
