Psalm 1
‘the reason for your life lies deeper’
to
fall
through death
to
life
is the relentless summons of life
to
flutter
like
a
leaf
beneath the silence
of
all
that
once
instructed
you
is the great shock
in
a
dream (at dawn)
i met a woman named Vital
her name was writ
on
a leafless tree
she said
the
way
of descent
is
not
for
the
certain
seek it not
save
you also seek me

Whakapapa: This psalm describes a process of transformation and awakening. My journey involved a constant falling through death to life: a falling away from my old collective ego-orientated system to a new, more soulful & individual life orientated around the eternal Self. ‘A woman named Vital’ is a phrase from a dream. For me she is the dynamic, creative feminine, or soul. The saying, ‘the reason for your life lies deeper,’ comes from a dream. I understand these words as coming from the guiding, orientating voice of the Self.
